Cookie Policy
We use only the cookies that are necessary to run Halo. No advertising networks. No cross-site tracking. Just the basics.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser. They let a site remember things between page loads, like whether you are signed in or which theme you prefer. Cookies are not programs and cannot access other data on your device.
The cookies Halo uses
We use three cookies, all of them essential to the service working correctly. None of them are used for advertising.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in. An HttpOnly, Secure cookie that holds your encrypted session. Without it you would have to sign in on every page. | 30 days |
| halo-theme | Remembers whether you prefer the light or dark theme so we can apply it before the page renders, avoiding a flash of the wrong theme. | 1 year |
| halo-currency | Stores your currency preference (USD, GBP, EUR, etc.) so pricing shows in your chosen currency without requiring a sign-in. | 1 year |
All three cookies are first-party cookies: they are set by gethalo.tech and can only be read by gethalo.tech. None of them are shared with third parties.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies of any kind. We do not place cookies from ad networks, social media platforms, or data brokers on your browser. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies that follow your browsing activity across other websites.
We do not use third-party analytics cookies. We collect anonymized usage information for our own product decisions, but we do this without third-party scripts that set their own cookies.
Local storage
In addition to cookies, Halo may store small pieces of data in your browser's local storage, for example a draft of something you are in the middle of saving. This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to our servers unless you complete the save action.
How to control cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in to Halo. The theme and currency cookies are optional: if you block them, the product will still work, but it will not remember your preferences between visits.

If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will not add non-essential cookies without updating this page first.
