What you save to Halo belongs to you. You can export everything, delete everything, or both. No friction, no waiting period.
Private, portable, and never sold.
These are not aspirations. They are the rules we wrote before we built anything.
Private by default
Everything you save is visible only to you. Nothing is shared with other users or publicly indexed.
Never sold
We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. We do not build ad profiles from your saves. The subscription is how we make money.
Yours to take
Export your complete pile as a structured JSON file whenever you want. You are never locked in.
Nothing you did not put there.
Halo stores the content you save: screenshots, voice notes, photos, links, forwarded messages, and PDFs. It also stores metadata about each save, such as when you added it and what format it is. This is the data that makes recall work.
We also store your account details (email address and, if you use email and password sign-in, a hashed version of your password), your plan status, and basic usage information to keep the service running.
That is all. We do not collect browsing history beyond Halo, device identifiers for tracking purposes, or data from other apps on your device.
